Abstract

My thesis describes the effectiveness of a very popular drug education program, called D.A.R.E. ( Drug Abuse Prevention Education ). Throughout my thesis, I am going to prove that the Drud Abuse Resistance Education is ineffective, because its curriculum carries several shortcomings, such as irrelevant people in teacher position. In addition, the program cannot provide long term effectiveness either. I use reliable sources to prove my thesis statement. As there are no books available about D.A.R.E. in libraries in Hungary, I rely on different web-sites ofthe Internet.
