Abstract

This thesis investigates the reasons why it is beneficial to use authentic literary texts in the EFL classroom. Arguments and counter-arguments are presented to show the various opinions, concerning the usefulness and applicability of such teaching materials. Based on the results and findings of my research, I will prove that using authentic literary texts in the language classroom generates a positive effect on students' motivation.
