Abstract

This thesis examines the symptoms, causes and diagnosis of dyslexia, as well as presents practical teaching techniques and methods to implement in the classroom. My hypothesis is that if a teacher uses appropriate methods and he/she is aware of learning disorders, dyslexic children will improve, their reading abilities will develop. Unfortunatelly, most of the teachers in elementary schools do not know how to deal with dyslexic children. They do not have enough information about this learning difficulty and about the special techniques. I will prove that teachers should care about dyslexic students, they can help their students to solve this problem. I will demonstrate some ways and methods that can be efficiently used in the English language class.
