Abstract

This paper aims to review some literature regarding the purposes and methods of assessment that can be used in language testing, as well as the relationship between assessment and teaching. I also created and analysed a questionnaire that collected information about teachers’ views on the role of testing in language teaching, and about their assessment practices.
