Abstract

This thesis deals with a short period of Medieval England's history, namely with William I, also known as William the Conqueror, and his Domesday Book. I will examine how this remarkable document was born and I will attempt to prove that it was inevitable for William to consolidate his feudal realm in the conquest country.
