Abstract

This paper investigates the new techniques and methods of using computers in English language classrooms to motivate the students and make learning more interesting and colourful. The first chapter consider the history of Computer Assisted Language Learning, how language was taught in the past. However, in the second chapter I am going to show some new fields, applications of using computers in English lessons. The third chapter is based on a research teaching with 14-year-old primary school students in Kenderes. The last chapter summarises why teachers should use computers, as well as other tools of modern technology in English classrooms.
