Abstract

This thesis deals the different techniques of grammar teaching and the possible ways of presenting and practising grammatical structures. It examines the techniques which can arouse students' interests and motivate them by using interesting, exciting and playful exercises. The last part of my thesis is based on my experience about my teaching practise and observations at primary schools. I also asked students to do a test on the basis of the Simple Present tense and Present Continuous tense. They not only have a lot of problems with the forms of the tenses, but also do they have difficulties in understanding their meanings. The results of the tests and my observations support that learning a second language is difficult and complicated for students.
