Abstract
In this thesis, I will examine the possibilities and difficulties of using authentic filmsinEnglish teaching lessons in primary school. I would describe how the teachers could improve their students' knowledge with using this kind of material. Using authentic film in ELT lesson is not an easy way to teach but well prepared lesson can help students to profit from it. Iwill demonstrate how a teacher can create a short-term plan for using a DVD in English lesson. This syllabus contains three lessons. I write about choosing the story, why it is used, what are the advantages and disadvantages of it. After describing the lessons and the activities, I would evaluate my and my children experiences with the lessons. Finally, I will write how students can profit from learning with films.
